Ski Vermont, Bolton Valley, and the von Trapp Bierhall staff are all looking forward to having you join us at Bolton Valley for the 2025 Ski Vermont Media Day this Thursday, February 13th, 2025. Before you read on, please take a moment to sign Bolton’s online waiver to save time day-of.
*You must check in before going to breakfast. Attendees must show badge to cashier.
Participants in the traverse will begin the tour at 10:00 to provide ample time to complete the route given the snow predicted in the forecast.
3:00 Shuttle from Nebraska Rd. to Trapp Brewery and Bierhall.
Remember to review the suggested gear list for backcountry travel.
Those seeking a backcountry experience with closer proximity to the lodge will also leave at 10:00am and will divert with their guide on a return route. Intro participants will also receive a lift pass for post-loop lift runs at registration.
12:00—1:30 Lunch at Cafeteria - Pick up some ski fuel at the Bolton cafeteria; be sure to show your Media Day lanyard.
3:45—Personal vehicles should departure time for von Trapp Brewery & Bierhall.
Optional Brewery Tour (open to the public, but Media Day participants will leave at 4:30 for the start of dinner. Brewery tour guides are aware of this).
5:15 –Raffle (must be present to win).
When you arrive, pull into village loop to unload your ski/snowboard gear and personal bag w/ change of clothes (if you are doing the traverse and would like to change for dinner). Once unloaded, you may park in the Main Bolton parking lot and walk back to the Backcountry and Nordic Center.
If you are doing the Bolton Loop and not the traverse you'll be driving your own vehicle to von Trapp Brewery and Bierhall (35min drive)

If you’re unsure of what to bring for Thursday, Bolton Valley has an extensive list of suggested items to help your planning. Some specific items to note are:
*A change of clothes for the brewery (if desired) dropped off at the Backcountry Center to be loaded in the shuttle.

The Intro/Bolton Loop option and the beginning of the Bolton-Trapp traverse can be found on Bolton’s Backcountry Trail Map (or below). The loop option will likely be a variant of the Bryant Cabin loop.
