Bolton Valley sits high in the Green Mountains, surrounded by over 5,000 acres of terrain and averaging 312 inches of snow each season. The mountain offers 71 trails and glades for alpine skiing and riding, plus 100 kilometers of Nordic and backcountry trails, making it one of the most versatile ski areas in Vermont.
The resort is designed to be self-contained and genuinely family-friendly. All lodging, whether hotel rooms, suites, or condominiums, is ski-in/ski-out or a short walk from the lifts. The village keeps everything close: two restaurants, a cafeteria, a deli, and a general store are all on-site, along with a ski-in/ski-out base lodge and rental shop. After a day on the mountain, Ralph's Rec Center offers indoor and outdoor pools, indoor golf, an arcade, a gym, and even pickleball.
The Bolton Valley Ski and Snowboard School serves skiers and riders at every level, from kids learning their first turns to adults looking to sharpen existing skills. Lessons are available across all disciplines, including alpine, backcountry touring, and cross-country skiing.
In the summer, Bolton Valley offers lift-served and pedal-powered mountain biking for all levels—everything from green flow trails to gnarly steep tech. No mountain bike? No worries, they offer lessons, rental gear, and even summer camps for kids.
