Rikert Outdoor Center is located on the Bread Loaf campus of Middlebury College in Ripton, Vermont, offering cross-country skiing, fat biking, and snowshoeing on a trail network that covers all ability levels. Snowmaking has extended the season to roughly 140 days, nearly double what natural snow alone would allow, and grooming runs daily when conditions permit.
The trail network includes groomed classic and skate ski trails, plus dedicated singletrack for fat biking and snowshoeing. Fat bikers and snowshoers can also use the full ski trail network, and a single trail pass covers all three activities. Rentals are available on-site for skis, fat bikes, and snowshoes, along with grab-and-go food and drinks at the shop.
Please note that dogs are not permitted on the trails.
