The Middlebury Snowbowl sits on Route 125 in the Green Mountains, roughly halfway between Routes 7 and 100, and covers enough terrain to keep skiers and riders of all ability levels busy. The mountain offers 25 trails and 10 glades, with off-trail skiing permitted within the ski area's boundaries. Snowmaking covers approximately 45% of the terrain, and four lifts, including a quad chairlift and two triple chairs, keep things moving.
Night skiing is available on select evenings during the season, with lit trails and a beginner area accessible via a free surface lift that requires no lift ticket. Check the Snowbowl's website for current night skiing days and hours.
The Snowbowl operates Wednesday through Sunday weekly, with expanded hours on select holiday Mondays and Tuesdays. On-site amenities include a rental shop, ski school, racing program, collegiate ski patrol, and a base lodge with food service.
Located at the base of Worth Mountain, the Neil Starr Shelter features a full-service cafeteria, highly regarded for its array of ski-friendly food and great prices. It's open from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesdays through Fridays, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The cafeteria also operates on selected Mondays and Tuesdays during holiday periods, in line with the ski area's extended schedule. In addition to sandwiches and wraps, hearty soups, freshly baked goods, grilled items, and warm beverages, the cafeteria also offers a good selection of bottled beer and wine. Supervisor Karen LaFlamme and Head Chef Lexi Parent manage this popular dining spot, ensuring a welcoming and satisfying experience for all guests.
