Stowe Mountain Resort is widely credited as the birthplace of alpine skiing in Vermont, and the mountain has built on that history to become one of the most recognized ski destinations in the East. It's one of three Vermont ski areas on the Epic Pass, alongside Mount Snow and Okemo.
The resort spans two mountains: Mount Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak, and Spruce Peak. Mount Mansfield holds the terrain Stowe is known for, including some of the most challenging and storied runs in New England. Spruce Peak complements it with beginner and intermediate terrain, slopeside accommodations, retail and dining, and a performing arts center. A six-person Sunrise lift provides access to Mount Mansfield's upper mountain.
