Smugglers' Notch Resort sits in Vermont's northern Green Mountains, about 50 minutes northeast of Burlington, and has spent two decades earning top marks in SKI Magazine's readers' polls for family skiing. In 2022, the resort took the top spot overall, plus first place in the East, for families, for service, and for grooming.
The mountain offers 78 trails, 8 lifts, 1,000 acres of terrain, and the highest vertical drop in northern Vermont at 2,610 feet. Natural snowfall averages more than 300 inches annually, and multiple terrain parks give skiers and riders of all ability levels something to work with.
