The Brattleboro Ski Hill was established in 1937, founded by an active group of local skiers.
Brattleboro Ski Hill was one of the first three ski areas in the US with a lift east of the Mississippi. Busloads of skiers from Connecticut and New York would come on weekends to ski there. Some report up to a thousand people would be lined up to ski.
