Edson Hill is a secluded 22-room luxury boutique inn and restaurant located in one of New England’s most charming mountain towns -- Stowe, Vermont. Set high on a hill overlooking 38 acres of natural Vermont scenery, Edson Hill is only a ten-minute drive to Stowe Village and Stowe Mountain Resort.
Located off Mountain Road, upon entering the gated property, guests are greeted by Edson Hill’s classic Vermont structures – the historic gray barn, the horse stables, and the Nordic Center. The winding dirt road wraps its way around ponds and sprawling lawns and delivers guests to the Manor House/Reception. Guests experience the serenity of a private retreat, feeling a million miles away while having easy access to an abundance of attractions in Stowe.
Edson Hill’s historic trail network was created in the 1950s by the Heath Family, in a joint venture with the von Trapp family, which had linked the resorts across the valley. Edson Hill’s current team has brought Edson Hill’s trails and the Nordic offerings back to its glory providing guests with an extensive on-property ski area for groomed cross-country skiing, side- and back-country access as well as snowshoeing and fat biking. Open seasonally and weather permitting, Edson Hill’s trails are open to guests and the general public daily from 9 am - 4:30 pm. Today, Edson Hill offers:
