Viking Nordic Center is one of the oldest cross-country ski centers in North America. With 35 kilometers of trails we offer something for every skier, snowshoer or fat bike rider. From the rolling gentle terrain of our inner trail system to the long loops through the woods of our outer trail system, beginners and experts can find terrain that will both please and challenge them. All the ski trails are open for snowshoeing plus two dedicated snowshoe trails for a total of 39km to snowshoe. Fat bike riders will find great runs out past the Beaver Pond Trails or for a super hill ride, try Yggdrasil.
After a long day of skiing you can enjoy a hearty cup of soup and one of our many different grilled cheese sandwiches. Or bring your own lunch for a picnic in our warming hut overlooking Vermont’s Stratton Mountain. Kids will ski longer looking for cookie punch stations, find the required number of different punches, bring your card into the cafe and claim your cookie. No worries, there's an adult version too. (although it requires more skiing and some map reading) Whatever your pleasure, we do our best to make winter fun!
