Legislators Hit the Slopes at Bolton Valley Resort

This week members of the Vermont state legislature and Ski Vermont staff enjoyed conversation and snowy evening turns at Bolton valley resort. Reviving the past tradition of Legislative Ski Night, organizers Candice White and Ski Vermont President Molly Mahar coordinated with Bolton Valley President Lindsey DesLauriers and staff to host 16 legislators for an evening of skiing and riding.

In addition to being one of the only ski areas in the nation with a backcountry rental and training center, Bolton Valley is joined by just two other Vermont ski areas (Middlebury Snowbowl and Magic) that offer night skiing.

Following laps under the lights, attendees took a break to warm up and enjoy a slice of pizza from Fireside Flatbed before venturing back out to get a few more runs before lifts stopped spinning.

“This is event gives everyone an opportunity to have fun outside of the statehouse and highlight Vermont skiing,” Mahar. “It’s a chance to build relationships outside of the statehouse but also highlights the role Vermont’s ski areas fill as community hubs and places people come to connect.”
