How to Apply for the Fifth Grade Passport

Ski Vermont’s Fifth Grade Passport is comprised of vouchers that fifth-grade students redeem for up to three lift tickets at each alpine ski area and up to three trail passes at each cross‑country area—all for $40.

  • Cost: $40 plus tax
  • Who Can Apply: Current fifth graders. VT or U.S. residency is not required. *
  • Only one pass per pass holder.

  • Limit to one passport per student. Students may only participate once in the Fifth Grade Passport program, regardless of the season or use of a previously purchased product.
  • Passport holders must ski with an adult who has a lift ticket or season pass
  • One adult can accompany up to two fifth-grade students

How to Apply

1. Create or Log In to Your Account

  • New Users: Once on sale, create an account and complete the household info. After setting up your account, you'll be redirected to the pass product page to complete the application process.
  • Returning Users: Log in to your existing account. Click “Add Product” to redirect to the pass product page and complete the application process.

2. Complete Application

  • Select the Fifth Grade Passport. Leave gift code box blank.
    • Fill out the application. Manually input school if not listed or homeschooled.
    • Upload proof of grade. See examples below.
    • Upload a current headshot of your child. Used as ID at the ski areas.

3. Complete the Purchase

  • Review your cart. Click “edit” to make changes before paying.
  • Complete purchase info.
    • Payment box will auto advance as info is entered. Turn the phone sideways if the payment screen looks cut off.
    • Agree to the terms and conditions. All sales are final.
  • Upon completion, a no-reply purchase confirmation email will be sent.

Log in to your customer portal anytime to check your passport status.

Acceptable Proof of Grade

To be approved, your document must clearly show:

  • Your child’s name
  • Their current grade (5th)
  • A date (either school year or date the document was issued)

Examples of Acceptable Documents

  • A current report card or progress report
  • A screenshot from a school portal with all required info
  • A letter from the school’s main office or administration
  • A final 4th-grade report card if it includes the student’s name and school year or issue date

For homeschooled students:

  • Homeschool documentation records or portfolio
  • A birth certificate or other official state documentation (accepted on a case-by-case basis)

Passport Activation & Approval Process

All sales are final unless your application is rejected by Ski Vermont for a duplicate purchase or insufficient proof of grade with no response.

Approval Process:

  • We reviews every application to make sure it meets all requirements.
  • Approval usually takes 2–3 business days (Monday–Friday only). Plan ahead.

If More Info is Needed:

  • An email will be sent outlining what is delaying the approval process.
  • Your application will stay pending until you upload the needed info.

When Approved:

  • You’ll get an email letting you know your passport is active.
  • If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder (look for a no-reply sender) or log into your account to view passport status.
