KILLINGTON, Vt. (November 3, 2025) – Vermont’s Killington Resort, the largest ski and snowboard destination in Eastern North America, was recognized on Friday with the 2025 Governor’s Excellence in Worksite Wellness Award – Gold Level from the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. Members of the Employee Experience team at Killington and Pico Mountain accepted the award today at the Vermont Safety and Health Council’s 29th Annual Expo at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel.
Per the Vermont Department of Health, the annual Worksite Wellness Awards “create a standard of excellence for worksite wellness initiatives and recognize Vermont employers’ efforts to enhance productivity, bolster a healthy environment, and improve employee wellbeing.” This Gold Level honor recognizes Killington & Pico’s continued commitment to fostering a culture of health and balance—driven by initiatives such as monthly wellness challenges, a customized nature walking path, a $4 employee salad bar program, ongoing wellness trainings, and Killington-sponsored vaccination clinics. Together, these programs reflect the dedication of our Employee Experience team in supporting the wellbeing of every member of the Killington community.

This award is the latest of a number of recent accolades received by Killington Resort. On Tuesday, Mike Solimano, President & CEO of Killington Resort & Pico Mountain, received the Business Leader of the Year Award at the Chamber of Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR) Annual Meeting, recognizing his overall leadership and contributions to Rutland County’s economic growth. Killington also recently won Silver in the “Best Ski Resorts for Mogul Skiing in the World” category at the 2025 Snomad Ski Resort Awards, a collection of awards based on over 140,000 ratings from real, unbiased skiers last winter that assesses every ski resort around the world.
