Jay Peak Resort to Open Early for Season Passholders, Mission Affordable Passholders, and Teammates.

Jay Peak, Vt. (Nov. 22, 2024) — Winter is arriving early at Jay Peak Resort, and resort officials are not wasting any time getting the season started. Strategic snowmaking during intermittent windows of opportunity over the past few weeks will allow for the resort to open for the 2024-2025 winter season this Saturday, Nov. 23. This special, one-day opening is all about celebrating the spirit of Jay Peak and those who love it; the day is dedicated to Jay Peak Season Passholders, Mission Affordable 4-Pack purchasers, and all Jay Peak staff. Terrain will be available off the Jet Triple Chair for advanced skiers and riders only from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Guests who purchased Mission Affordable 4-Packs can bring their receipt to the Stateside ticket window and be issued a complimentary lift ticket for the day without a deduction from their four purchased tickets.

“This is Jay Peak’s way of saying thanks to our loyal guests for being a part of our community” said General Manager Steve Wright. “We are excited to get things rolling with an early bonus day for these folks.” All Mission Affordable 4-Packs must be purchased prior to Saturday morning, Nov. 23.

After Saturday, the mountain will close temporarily and reopen Friday, Nov. 28, for the 4th annual Day for The Devoted, officially kicking off the season with expanded terrain and more opportunities to shred.

This early opening comes as part of the resort’s ongoing commitment to Mission Affordability. As part of that commitment, officials at Jay Peak are freezing and reducing prices for a number of offerings at the resort including ticket prices, lodging and food and beverage. A list of benefits will continue to grow throughout the 2024-2025 season.

“Our hope is that all deals through Mission Affordability will help make our guests' ski trips as easy and accessible as possible,” said Wright.” So, grab your gear, rally your crew, and let’s get this season rolling. The snow is ready. The mountain is waiting. We’ll see some of you on Saturday at 10 a.m.
