Whether you’re soaking in the green or Vermont’s legendary fall foliage, it’s an unforgettable way to experience the beauty of Vermont. Lift rides run from the main base area with access to a summit lookout tower offering 360-degree views of Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York's highest peaks.

Ride the chairlift to Bromley's 4-story observation deck at the summit for 360-degree views of southern Vermont, with Stratton, Magic Mountain, and Equinox Mountain visible across the valley. Bring a picnic and enjoy the warm south-facing slopes.

Vermont’s only aerial tramway carries guests to the summit of Jay Peak at nearly 4,000 feet for views that stretch deep into Canada on clear days.

The K-1 Express Gondola carries riders 1.25 miles to the summit of Killington Peak at 4,241 feet — the highest lift-serviced point in Vermont and the second-tallest peak in the state. From the top, hikers can access 15 miles of designated trails, including sections of the Appalachian and Long Trails. The Peak Lodge is open daily with food and drinks.

Ride the historic Single Chair, the oldest continually operating single chairlift in the country, to the summit of General Stark Mountain for classic Mad River Valley views during peak foliage.

Hop on the Green Chair to Sunshine Corner to enjoy food, beverages, and breathtaking views of the Southern Greens.

Ride the Sheehan Quad and enjoy a breathtaking journey above the mountain, surrounded by vibrant autumn colors and beautiful views of the Green Mountains. Before or after your ride, explore the Fall Artisan Market in and around the base lodge, featuring local artists, makers and specialty vendors (starting at 9:30 a.m. each morning).

The Bluebird Express is Mount Snow’s signature six-passenger bubble chairlift — the first of its kind in North America — which carries riders to the 3,600-foot summit in about 12 minutes. Riders enjoy views of the Somerset Reservoir, Mount Monadnock, and on clear days, Mount Washington. Download-only ‘Scenic Download’ tickets are also available for those who want to hike up and ride down.

The Sunburst Six — Vermont’s first six-passenger heated bubble chairlift — takes riders from the Clock Tower base up to the summit at Okemo. Hike the trails, enjoy the fire tower, or ride both ways.

The iconic Gondola SkyRide carries up to 8 guests near the summit of Mount Mansfield — Vermont’s highest peak at 4,393 feet. At the top, enjoy lunch at the Cliff House Restaurant, pick up a treat at The Waffle, or explore hiking trails. Dogs are welcome on the gondola in summer (leashed; not permitted at the summit restaurant).

Stratton’s enclosed Gondola takes riders to the summit of southern Vermont’s highest peak, with views spanning four states: the White Mountains, Adirondacks, Berkshires, and Green Mountains. A historic fire tower at the summit adds another level of elevation. Scenic Lift Ride tickets are also valid on the American Express chairlift (mid-mountain). Child carriers are permitted on the Gondola only.
Fall Schedule: September 3–7 (daily, including Labor Day); Fridays – Sundays September 11–13, 18–20, 25–27; October 1–4 (daily); October 8–12 (daily, including Columbus Day); Fridays – Sundays October 16–18. Season ends Sunday, October 18.

Sugarbush offers scenic lift rides on the Super Bravo Quad at Lincoln Peak, with access to wildflowers, wildlife-watching, and the classic Mad River Valley views. This summer, rides operate on holidays only.
Fall Schedyke: Holidays only
Notes: No dogs on the lift. Backpacks must be removed before loading. Infants in front-loading backpack (e.g. BabyBjörn) are permitted; children must be able to sit and support themselves independently.
