Get access to Bolton Valley’s ever-expanding network of trails as a new mountain biker when you sign up for a beginner package. For just $99, beginners get a lift ticket, rental, and lesson and can start their mountain bike journey.
This summer Bolton Valley also unveiled its 7th Grade Passport program, which gives 7th grade grads a free summer season pass to Bolton’s lift-served mountain bike park.

Looking to get into Mountain Biking? Killington’s Experience Downhill Package includes all the equipment you need, plus instruction on all the basics - from bike handling to reading the terrain. It’s a great way to learn to love the mountains as much as they do.
Smugglers' Notch Mountain Bike Center has it all. Spread over three acres, the park features a flat ground skills park, a pump track, a downhill flow park, and even a strider park for little riders 18mo - 5 years old.
With over 10 miles of single track and six miles of double track, Smuggs’ offers trails suitable for every level of rider.
The Bike Shop offers an array of over 40 bikes for rent and features great gift options, including Smuggs branded merchandise and apparel.

The Stratton Bike Park features 10+ fun and rippable miles of downhill mountain biking trails with the same look and feel that Vermont Mountain biking is famous for. You're capable of far more than you imagine. Gain confidence with an introductory lesson and take the mountain by storm this summer with their friendly, knowledgeable instructors.
For the first time mountain biker, this is a group lesson dedicated to your riding. Their instructors will work with you as a new mountain biker making sure they cover every facet of how to ride, and how we roll in the Bike Park. Lessons start on manageable terrain to make sure you’re comfortable and correctly positioned to take on the berms, rollers and features found on mountain bike trails. From there, instructors will grow your knowledge of reading terrain and selecting lines, mountain bike etiquette, gear shifting, braking techniques, and more. Be prepared to embrace your new love of mountain biking in the Green Mountains.
Learn the fundamentals of mountain biking and be a safer and more confident rider with von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort’s expert staff and designated learning trails. Lessons are two hours, which is long enough to learn the basics and do some trail riding, and are great for new riders or those looking for a tune-up.
