This is a sport where many resorts throw impressive numbers, statistics and 'est's' at you (longest, deepest, bestest...), and while we certainly have our fair share of numbers and accolades, about – Jay Peak is definitely something that can be difficult to quantify within the world of numbers.
Our approach to skiing and riding is pretty simple; approach the business of skiing and riding from the perspective of the skier and rider. That is, make big-mountain skiing and riding affordable. We've also developed additional weatherproof amenities to compliment the skiing and riding, but not replace and detract from it. That commitment should be rewarded. Early openings and late closings are important. And that first Tram always trumps last call.

Sky Meadow Retreat welcomes you to our warm, cozy haven in the Northeast Kingdom.
Alice's Table in the Tram Haus Lodge is named after Alice Lewis who worked at Jay Peak from 1956-1968. A little fancier but just as welcoming as the namesake woman who became a legend for her hospitality, Alice’s Table is the Jay Peak restaurant best suited to families or special occasions.
There’s a strong argument that a golf course is only as good as its clubhouse. These are the places where golfers gather to eat, drink and speak at length of their triumphs and tragedies on the course. At Jay, the Clubhouse Grille plays the role of host to your pre- and post-game conversation. Located on the golf course but also housing the Nordic ski centre, the Clubhouse is open year round, making it the perfect location for weddings and events.
Named to recognize the bootstrap mentality of the construction workers who raised us up, The Foundry Pub & Grill provides hungry skiers, riders, golfers and splashers of all sizes and stripes with char grilled steaks and meats, fresh pastas, locally sourced vegetables and proteins much of it finished in our signature ceramic tile centerpiece oven. The Foundry is located in the Hotel Jay, across from The Mountain Shop. It is most easily accessed from the courtyard behind the Hotel Jay.
When you sport the name of our late, long-time Food and Beverage Director and local sportsman Howard Johnson, you can bet on stick-to-your-ribs food served hot and fast. From Howie’s special recipe meatloaf and chicken fried steak to venison stroganoff, great breakfast skillets, huge sandwiches and more, you’ll find out what made Howie and, in turn, what eating like a local tastes like.
The slopeside après spot, Tower Bar draws it's name from the chairlift towers and sheave wheels from the Green Mountain Chair that were used to fabricate the four tower seating fixtures in the Tower Bar. The Tower Bar is located in the Tram Haus Lodge, beside Alice’s Table.
Located in the new Stateside Baselodge, just upstairs from the cafeteria. A bar offering après (or anytime, really) drinks, that is big enough to jam a bus (our first shuttle) a Bullwheel (of T bar fame) and views of the mountain like you’ve never seen.
We've named the region's best pizzeria after former lift attendant extraordinaire Mountain Dick Lucier. Mountain Dick's offers pizza, sandwiches and pasta specialties and has a full beer and wine license. Located inside the Hotel Jay, Mountain Dick's stays open later on busy weekends to accommodate a late-night surf crowd.
The perfect spot for an expertly tuned cup of coffee, homemade Danish or killer breakfast sandwich. Aroma is located next to Tower Bar in the Tram Haus Lodge on the slope side of the mountain in front of the Flyer Quad.
86-degree temperatures, frozen Margaritas and big views of the local surfing community—The Drink delivers a little bit of summer all year long. Nearly a dozen beers on tap, dueling blenders, and a list of frozen concoctions designed to help you forget about any chilly winds that may blow outside, The Drink also provides a front row seat of the Pump House, four flat screen HD televisions and direct sight lines of the borderline enormous 16 foot television located above the Double Barrel surfing wave. Drinks, lunch and dinner daily.
Former Mountain Operations Manager Buddy Loux liked coffee as much as the next guy and more than most. It's in his honor we've named our Hotel Jay coffee shop. Check out specialty coffees, cappuccinos, espressos and, Buddy's favorite; regular black coffee. A good supply of freshly baked goods are available: croissants, desserts and stuff to make the kid's (and kids at heart) squeal. Located in the Hotel Jay, just off the Front Desk area.
Named after the first snack shack at Jay Peak, we figured it'd suit our Pump House Indoor Waterpark Snack Bar fine. The Shelter offers up a wide range of sandwiches, chicken fingers and fries, pizza, ice cream and soft drinks all designed to keep appetites at bay long enough for another drop on La Chute.
Located inside the Ice Haus Skating Arena. Enjoy beer, wine and the best popcorn on the mountain at our Ice Haus Snack Bar but that’s just for starters. McKenzie Hot Dogs, enormous burgers and lunch specials round out our snack bar menu (with big sandwiches, candy and ice cream to boot) all inside our heated snack bar. Enjoy great hockey, public skating, curling and events while you sit and snack.
The Sky Haus offers made to order salads, authentic hand-carved meat sandwiches, beer and other non-beer drinks. Like water. A perfect place to work up your Face Chute courage and to temporarily duck away from the Jay Cloud which usually hangs out and hammers away.
The Jay Peak Provisions General Store offers everything you'll need for your stay and then some. Inside you will find groceries, wine and a walk-in beer cave as well as our full service deli for fresh meats and cheeses, subs, salads and pasta dishes. Beyond food items, Provisions is stocked with Jay Peak apparel, outerwear and other useful gear. As if food, gear and supplies aren't enough, the gift shop portion of the store will be sure to catch your eye and have you browsing before long.
The Tram Haus Cafeteria provides the heartiest chow for the hungriest appetites. From subs, soups and salads to full entrees and daily hot meal specials, the Tram Haus Cafeteria is a one stop shop for bellies on the go.
Hop in the chow line and refuell for afternoon runs. The Stateside Cafeteria is conveniently located on the stateside of the resort, so you don't have to stray too far from your favorite runs.
