Wealth Of New Year's Eve Festivities Planned To Ring In 2019

Fireworks over Bolton Valley Resort

Bolton Valley Resort

Jamie Lee Thurston is ringing in the New Year at Bolton Valley Resort’s Backcountry Ballroom. A full night of festivities on the mountain begins around 9 p.m., when a parade of torch-wielding skiers will flood down the mountain to kick off the annual Bolton Fireworks display. Following the fireworks, doors will open at the Backcountry Ballroom for the concert (doors at 9:30 p.m., show at 10). Come midnight, there will be a free champagne toast and a big balloon drop. Burke Mountain

Ring in the New Year at Burke Mountain’s Tamarack Pub & Grill located on floor two of the Sherburne Base Lodge. Featuring funk and soul groove music from Mountain Pound, who will be rocking the house till the fireworks hit the sky at midnight.

Cover charge is $15 at the door which includes a champagne toast at midnight. The Tamarack Grill will be serving dinner until 9 p.m.  Dress warmly for the fireworks display which will shoot at midnight on Bunker Hill, visible from the base lodge patio. Doors open at 7 p.m. Music starts at 9 p.m. Fireworks at midnight will conclude the festivities.

Jay Peak Resort

Jay Peak has quite the party planned for New Year’s Eve. Northstar Fireworks will kick off the night with an on-mountain display that can be seen from all resort properties. Keep your eyes peeled up the mountain around 9 p.m. 

Following the fireworks, the band Shake will get things rocking in the Foeger Ballroom. Tickets to the show are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Kid and Teen parties will also take place. Visit the resort’s website or call (802) 327-2215 for all the details.

Killington Resort

New at Killington Resort this year is a New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade on Snowshed at 5 p.m. Mask Making begins at 3:45 p.m. inside the Snowshed Base Lodge. Live at the Wobbly Barn, ring in the New Year at Killington's best New Year's Eve Party with live music from JJ Rupp. Admission of $70 includes a champagne toast at midnight.

Magic Mountain

The Blackline Tavern at Magic Mountain will host a special New Year’s Eve party beginning at 7 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres will be followed by a buffet dinner at 7:30. A DJ dance party gets bumping at 9, and fireworks at midnight will officially ring in the New Year. Tickets for dinner are $45 for adults and $15 for children under 13 (tickets not required for dance party and fireworks). Dinner reservations limited to 125 people. Mount Snow Resort

Mount Snow Ski & Snowboard School instructors will descend the Canyon ski trail in a beautiful torchlight glow beginning at 5:45 p.m. Immediately following, the sky will be lit up with a huge fireworks display. Okemo Mountain Resort

Midnight arrives early at Okemo Mountain Resort for friends and family enjoying a variety of activities from 5 to 9 p.m. Following early evening ice skating, snow tubing, mountain coaster rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, party-hat decorating, bingo games and a trivia tournament, families can ring in the New Year early with a DJ dance party - and still get the kids to bed in time for a full day on the slopes the next day. Party games, balloons, noisemakers and fireworks add to the New Year celebration, complete with a pizza party dinner in the Roundhouse at Jackson Gore. Stratton Mountain Resort

Ring in the new year with friends and family at Stratton Mountain Resort. Enjoy family activities from 6 to 8 p.m. in the main base lodge, and fireworks and Grizzly’s party at 8:30 p.m. Call (800) 787-2886 for more information.

Sugarbush Resort

Sugarbush Resort has a stacked night planned for New Year's Eve. Choose between the Family Italian Buffet in The Gatehouse from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. or make reservations to see what spectacular plates Chef Curtis has in store for you at Rumble’s Kitchen. Following dinner, make sure to check out the famous Torchlight Parade on Spring Fling with a fireworks show immediately to follow at 7 p.m. Live music fans will want to head on down to Castlerock Pub at 9 p.m. to party with The Detonators until the clock strikes midnight.
