Update: COVID-19 - Vermont’s Alpine Ski Areas are Shut Down

Montpelier, VT Monday, March 16, 2020 -- As the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation has been quickly evolving over the past 72 hours, Vermont’s alpine ski areas have closed for the season or have shut down operations - either indefinitely or for a period of time - to reassess their operating plans. 


The safety of ski area guests and employees is very important to all of us, and ski areas have been monitoring official updates from the state of Vermont, the Vermont Department of Health and the CDC, making difficult and appropriate decisions for their operations as this situation has been unfolding.


Vermont’s ski areas look forward to resuming normal operations and welcoming guests back to the mountains as soon as the situation improves and it is prudent to do so. For the most up-to-date information on ski area operations, check your favorite ski area’s website or
