The Fall Line: Storm's-a-Brewin', Ski Vermont Snacks, Check In to Win Swag

Bluebird at Mount Snow today
While folks along the southern east coast spent the weekend digging out from Winter Storm Jonas, Vermont skiers and snowboarders enjoyed a beautiful bluebird weekend. Vermont resorts expect a few clippers to pass through on Friday bringing a little more fresh fluff. Some wind and snow is in the mix for the weekend, with Sunday morning predicted to be the calmest before another front rolls in Sunday, bringing with it a big storm brewing the middle of next week.

Will the Groundhog see its shadow? Stay tuned to find out. In the meantime, keep your eyes on for up-to-the-minute trail counts and snow accumulation.

Check In to Win Free Lift Tickets
Last week we challenged you to track your days on the slopes using the Trace Snow app on your smartphone then share your session sheets with us on social media using the hashtags #SkiVermont #CheckInToWin. Four-packs of lift tickets were at stake and you did a great job of covering all the open Vermont terrain. Our favorite is this post from mjbenjamin on opening day at Castle Rock Peak at Sugarbush Resort.

And we really like that Scott did après right at Pico Mountain.

Congrats to both of you! Email us at to claim your #FreeLiftTIckets.

Don't worry if you didn't win this week, we still have a ton more prizes and lift tickets up our sleeves for those using the Trace Snow or Snocru apps to enter our Check In to Win contest. Find all the contest details and links to download the apps at
