Welcome Back Winter!

We’re open! Killington was the first resort in North America to open for skiing and riding, kicking off the 2015/16 season on October 18th. Since then, snowmakers have been on call across the state and ready to light up their snowguns just as soon as the temperatures allowed. After the epic winter season we had last year (Vermont got the most snow in the lower 48,) Old Man Winter is up and at ‘em again just in time for Thanksgiving week and Vermont resorts have received some natural snow while blasting the trails with their highly efficient snowmaking.

It’s only a matter of days now until Vermont resorts start spinning lifts across the state. Okemo anticipates opening early next week, while Mount Snow, Stowe, Stratton and Sugarbush all plan to spin on or before Thanksgiving Day. Bromley Mountain, Smugglers’ Notch, Jay Peak and Q Burke are ready to go this holiday weekend, too. If you’re jumping at the chance to get back on snow, be sure to check out the statewide conditions report for up to the minute updates and changes as resorts work with Mother Nature or sign up to have the report delivered to your inbox each morning.

See you on the slopes!

Get Stoked on Social

If you’ve been looking for a one stop shop to see all the social action from Vermont resorts in one place, your search is over. New this season, the Ski Vermont and Ride Vermont social walls at skivermont.com have combined all the resorts’ and parks’ social posts from Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube into one fun digital snowglobe. Catch up with resorts around the state as they post in real time. Click the links above to give the globe a shake and watch the content fly.

Experience More Contests

Our road warriors are back in Vermont after an epic road trip to ski and snowboard expos around the globe. We brought winter cheer and a chance to win some great prizes to winter revelers in six cities. But don’t worry if you couldn’t make it to one of our shows – this season, we’re bringing the contests straight to your screen.

There’s still time to enter the “Rossignol Experience More Giveaway” that includes more than $5,000 worth of Rossi gear (that’s a head to snow set up including new skis) plus a ski and stay package for two at Stowe Mountain Resort and more. You have until December 6th, 2016 to enter at http://skivermont.com/contest for your chance to win our first big prize package of the season.

If your name isn’t drawn for the first prize, we’re still offering lots more chances to win throughout the winter. Check the contest tile on our homepage throughout the season for monthly drawings from Skida, Darn Tough, Dale of Norway, Cabot and Long Trail for your chance to win lots of great prizes, swag, lift tickets and ski and stay packages from your favorite Vermont brands. You can't win if you don’t enter, so be sure to visit http://skivermont.com/contest before the first contest closes on December 6th. Good luck!
