Family Fridays at Bromley Mountain

Everyone loves to save a little cash, and each person has different expectations when experiencing winter in Vermont. Vermont resorts step up to the plate in offering creative packages for creative folks, combining varieties of lodging with great mountain experiences and fun amenities. They also motivate us to hit the slopes and get active outdoors by creating unique incentives and discounts for groups, families and even individuals.

Bolton Valley

Ski and Stay packages in the slopeside, ski-in, ski-out Inn at Bolton Valley start at just $84 pp/pn. Package includes ski-to-your-door lodging, lift tickets, breakfast, and unlimited use of the on-site Sports Center including indoor pool, sauna and hot tub.

Adult All Access Season passes get you season long access to the lifts, Nordic skiing and the Sports Center starting at just $569 for adults and $159 for youth.

Bromley Mountain

The Frequent Skier Card at Bromley offers discounts on single day tickets for the whole season, and fully transferable Value Tickets save up to $15 off the holiday lift ticket price. Value Tickets must be purchased prior to December 3, 2014.

Jay Peak Resort

You’d be hard pressed to find a resort that’s invested hundreds of millions of dollars in amenities and kept the price of its season passes frozen for the last few years. How about finding two resorts that have done it? Jay Peak and Burke Mountain have invested close to half a billion dollars in resort upgrades and a season pass to both is under a $1,000. It’s called the Judge and it’s just $849. 

Killington Resort

On the heels of last winter’s 97% success rate with the 4-day Elan Discovery learn to ski program, Killington has expanded Discovery offerings for the 2014-15 winter season to serve 700 adults; 500 with free Elan Skis and 200 with free Burton Snowboards.

Killington Resort will also offer a 4-day MORE Discovery program during the 2014-15 winter season for program participants seeking consecutive days of lessons paired with lodging in the Killington Grand Hotel, multiple meals and the full mountain experience.

Ministar Discovery Camps will serve children ages 4-6 with four consecutive full-day lessons, equipment, lift tickets and lunches. At the end of the program, new skiers will keep their boots and Elan Junior U-Flex skis. Plus, every Ministar Discovery Camp enrollment includes a complimentary Adult Lift Ticket to be used each day in conjunction with the program.

Mad River Glen

Skiers can get a free season pass for kids 12 and under with the purchase of a Family Mad Card or any Adult Season Pass. Kids must be signed up before October 15 to receive the free pass.

The Ski The Valley+ Passport lets you ski Mad River Glen, Sugarbush and Ole’s Cross XC anytime, on this exclusive universal “passport.” It’s available as 2-7 day packages for adults and children with additional values throughout your stay at valley restaurants, attractions and activities.  Keep abreast of Mad River Glen’s on-line ticket deals at madriverglen.com

Magic Mountain

As Always, Magic passes are reasonable priced and have no blackout dates. An adult pass costs $589 through October 15, 2014.  The new Twenties Card is for those from age 20-29. The free card gets discounted skiing all season. College passes are going for $219.

Throw-Back Thursdays with just $20 tickets will be held every Thursday except holidays.

Mount Snow Resort

$69 Ski and Stay Getaway – For less than the cost of a one-day lift ticket, you get a lift ticket AND a night of lodging at Snow Lake Lodge which is conveniently located on resort property and serviced by a shuttle that brings you right to the base of the mountain. Okemo Mountain Resort

Okemo offers a variety of great deals and packages throughout the winter season. Typically, the purchase of a season pass offers the greatest value when it comes to skiing and riding. And as an added value, some of Okemo’s premier season passes include three days at nearby Killington. New this year, Okemo will be rewarding skiers and riders for their early purchase of lift tickets with discounts on online purchases. The further in advance tickets are purchased, the greater the savings.

Smugglers’ Notch Resort

Guests can stay six nights and get the seventh night free over the Christmas/New Year’s Eve holiday in December (December 26, 2014–January 1, 2015) and over the Presidents’ Week holiday (February 13-19, 2015).

Smugglers’ learn-to-ski or snowboard week January 4-11, 2015 includes free rental equipment and group lessons for entry level or beginner skiers or riders staying three nights or longer on the resort’s ski and stay package priced at $119 per night/adults and $89 per night/children 3-17 years old.

Sugarbush Resort

The For20s pass returns this season for those 19-29 years old at just $459. For another $80 you can ski midweek at Mad River Glen. Additionally with MRG, college students can take advantage of the Threesome Pass – good for skiing at Sugarbush’s two mountains and MRG. Starting January 8th, enjoy $30 Thursdays and ski Mt. Ellen for just $30 every Thursday (non-holiday) with free Cabot cheese specials. Those looking to learn should try the First Timer to Life Timer program with three lessons for just $255 and a free season pass when you complete the program.
