Everyone loves to save a little cash, and each person has different expectations when experiencing winter in Vermont. Vermont resorts step up to the plate in offering creative packages for creative folks, combining varieties of lodging with great mountain experiences and fun amenities. They also motivate us to hit the slopes and get active outdoors by creating unique incentives and discounts for groups, families and even individuals.

Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month
New to snow sports?  January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard month, where Vermont alpine resorts offer beginner programs for just $29!  The package includes a beginner lift ticket, rentals and a lesson by a professional ski or snowboard instructor!  Visit www.skivermont.com/learn in December for details.

Fifth Grade Passport
Fifth graders ski for free!  When is a better time to fall in love with winter in the mountains than when you’re 10-11 years old?  The Fifth Grade Passport is a great gateway to the slope and proceeds go to Keep Local Farms, a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting consumers with healthy, local food grown by their own communities and supporting local dairy and food farmers.

Vermont Resort Deals and Packages:

Bolton Valley
Ski and Stay packages in the slopeside, ski-in, ski-out Inn at Bolton Valley start at just $84 per person. Package includes ski-to-your-door lodging, lift tickets, breakfast, and unlimited use of the on-site Sports Center including indoor pool, sauna and hot tub.

Every Monday is 50/50 Monday and folks age 50+ can take 50% off All Access Lift Tickets. Saturdays, enjoy Bolton After Dark where night lift tickets are just $19 and flatbread slices are only $2. Check out all Bolton’s lift ticket deals.

Bromley Mountain
The Frequent Skier Card at Bromley offers discounts on single day tickets for the whole season and fully transferrable Value Tickets save you up to $15 off the holiday lift ticket price, and are a great option for guests visiting during holiday periods. (The catch? Must purchase a minimum of 5. Offer expires Dec. 4, 2013) 

Bromley.com is a good source for catching special one-time deals on the cash saving e-coupons and Family Fridays this winter allow each paying adult to purchase kid’s lift tickets for just $15 per kid.  For a full list of deals at Bromley Mountain visit www.bromley.com.

Jay Peak Resort
You would think that after investing over $300 million in new hotels, chairlifts, an ice arena, an indoor waterpark, snowmaking equipment, restaurants, pubs, a Nordic Center and a spa, things up at Jay Peak would be a bit pricey, no? Well….no. Last year the resort dropped the price of its single-day lift ticket to $65, and this season a family of four will be able to ski and stay in the Hotel Jay for just $359/night. Want to add in daily access to the Pump House Indoor Waterpark in addition to the lift tickets? That same family is just $429/night.

Killington Resort
Killington Resort launches a 4-day adult Learn To Ski package for $249 that includes a two hour lesson, rental equipment and a lift ticket each day for the upcoming winter season. Upon completion, participants will receive a new pair of Killington Resort branded Elan eRise skis and bindings (MSRP $499) along with a discount voucher for new boots and poles.

Participants will receive 50% off on lift tickets and lessons for the remainder of the 2013-14 season and all of the 2014-15 season. The four lessons do not need to be consecutive and are valid any day during the 2013-14 winter season.

Mad River Glen
Skiers can get a free season pass for kids 12 and under with the purchase of a Family Mad Card or any Adult Season Pass. Kids must be signed up before October 15 to receive the free pass.

The Ski The Valley+ Passport lets you ski Mad river Glen, Sugarbush and Ole’s Cross XC anytime, on this exclusive universal 'passport'. It’s available in 2-7 day packages for adults and children with additional values throughout your stay at valley restaurants, attractions and activities.

Magic Mountain
Magic is determined to keep skiing affordable. The Holiday White-Out Pass allows you to ski during the most popular holidays for less. Enjoy 20 days of holiday skiing for only $279. To save before the season starts, check out the Unrestricted 3-Pack for $139. It provides 3 lift tickets, good anytime, and is 100% transferable. Magic also offers other Vermont resort season pass holders the opportunity for a “change-of-pace.” Show another mountain pass at the Magic ticket window and receive a $10 ticket discount.

Mount Snow Resort
Sneak away midweek and enjoy a day of skiing and a night of lodging at the resort for about the cost of a one day adult lift ticket. The Ski and Stay Package is just $85 per person, based on double occupancy at Snow Lake Lodge.

Okemo Mountain Resort
Okemo Mountain Resort offers a variety of great deals and packages throughout the winter season. Typically, the purchase of a season pass offers the greatest value when it comes to skiing and riding. One of the biggest stories in season pass offerings this year is Okemo’s new partnership with Killington, Pico and Sunapee. 4.0 The College Pass is available to all full-time college students for just $369. This season pass is valid every day of the season with no blackout dates at four mountains: Killington, Okemo, Pico and Mt. Sunapee.

Quechee Ski Area
The Friday Solution is $25 adult lift tickets and $20 children’s lift tickets. Both include $5 lunch vouchers at the Quechee Base Lodge. Quechee Ski Area also has a family season pass for a family of four for just $625.

Smugglers’ Notch Resort
Smugglers’ Learn-to-Ski-or-Snowboard Week January 5-12, 2014 includes free rental equipment and group lessons for guests staying three nights or longer on the resort’s ski and stay package. Entry and beginner level skiers or riders are invited to learn to ski or ride for $119 per night for adults and $89 per night for children 3-17 years old. 

Guests can stay six nights and get the seventh night free over the Christmas/New Year’s Eve holiday in December (December 26, 2013–January 1, 2014) and over the Presidents’ Week holiday (February 14-20, 2014).

Each of Smugglers’ vacation packages include mountainside condominium lodging; lift tickets; snow tubing; ice skating; use of the indoor pool and hot tub, Nordic and snowshoe terrain, indoor FunZone with climbing inflatables, and teen centers; and family and adult entertainment.  (www.smuggs.com/vacation-values)

Stowe Mountain Resort

Sugarbush Resort
Sugarbush has a range of deals and packages. Starting January 9th ski Mount Ellen for just $30 every Thursday (non-holiday). For lodging, make sure to book early to save up to 30%.

Suicide Six and Woodstock Inn & Resort
Woodstock Inn guests "ski free" midweek, non-holiday with complimentary lift tickets at Suicide Six, complimentary trail fees at Nordic Center, and discounted rentals at both locations. Children 14 & under staying at the Woodstock Inn receive complimentary lift tickets 7 days a week, non-holiday.
