There’s nothing better than a Vermont Fourth of July

Vermont’s Green Mountains may be best known for their skiing and riding but there is something to be said for spending some time up in the mountains during the summer. One of the best times to visit is the Fourth of July weekend. The mountains glow as firework displays illuminate the northern night sky. Summer adventures await as resorts welcome visitors to explore the nature that surrounds them. From zip lines to mountain coasters, spa days to brew fests, there is something for everyone. Vermont’s small towns particularly shine during the fourth (and not just because of the fireworks).

Friday July 1, 2016

Magic Mountain

Independence Day at Magic Mountain and the town of Londonderry

Magic and the town of Londonderry will host one of southern Vermont's largest Independence Day fireworks celebrations on Friday night July 1st. Music will begin at 6pm with great views from the lodge deck and grassy slopes of Magic. The Black Line Tavern will be serving beverages and picnic baskets for food are welcome. Fireworks will begin a little after 9pm.

Okemo Mountain Resort

The Great American Party

Okemo’s Jackson Gore courtyard is transformed into an all-American backyard barbecue with live music, games, a hot-dog-eating contest, frosty-cold beverages, fresh-from-the-grill favorites plus hours of family fun at Okemo’s Adventure Zone.

Join Mount Snow as they celebrate our nation's independence with a huge fireworks display and BBQ. The best viewing area will be in front of the Grand Summit Resort Hotel, where they will have a grill and bar for refreshments.

Spruce Peak Independence Day Bash and Fireworks Show

Featuring live music, comedy, circus performers and more from 4:30-9:30pm at Stowe’s Spruce Peak Village Center. Fireworks Show at Dusk.

The Quechee Club

Independence Day Celebration & Family BBQ at The Quechee Club

Quechee’s biggest event of the year! All our welcome to attend this family celebration on the shores of Lake Pinneo. Held at Murphy’s Farm, this event is host to live entertainment, magicians, bouncy houses, local music, grand fireworks display and more. Registration is required by calling (802) 295-9356.

Smugglers Notch Resort

Independence Day Celebration in Jeffersonville & Smugglers' Notch Resort

An old-fashioned community celebration with morning parade followed by a carnival with games, food and live music in Jeffersonville. Smugglers' Notch Resort hosts a delicious late afternoon firemen's barbecue perfect for picnicking on the resort’s Village Green, and a performance by the Vermont National Guard 40th Army Band with fireworks at dusk.

Sugarbush Resort

Independence Day Celebrations

Join Sugarbush for a patriotic Fourth of July! The 68th annual Warren Parade is guaranteed to be wild, wacky, and wickedly fun, with street dance and family festivities. The celebration continues at Lincoln Peak with food, live music, and a fireworks display at 9:30 PM.
