The holidays are fast approaching and although you may have already booked your trip to Vermont, have you thought about what you're going to do while you're here? Vermont ski areas have endless activities and events during the holiday week. Keeping our guests entertained is what we do best, making for the most memorable holiday vacations. Check out all of the events that our ski areas have to offer this holiday season. 

Suicide Six / Woodstock Inn & Resort

Join Woodstock Inn & Resort Executive Chef Rhys H. Festivus Rail Jam at Suicide 6 Ski Area - December 28 from 2:00pm - 7:00pm

Festivus; A Rail Jam for the restuvus! An inaugural rail jam set up under lights on the bottom of Lasky’s so spectators can enjoy the action along with competitors! Open to skiers and riders, with two hike accessible rail selections to accommodate varying ability levels. Properly fastened snow sports helmets required during event inspection, practice and competition. Cash prize for the winner!

Families are invited to come in their pajamas (if they choose), for a viewing of the Polar Express! We will have popcorn and cocoa on hand, for this special event! Remember, everyone leaves Bromley as a believer! This fun for all ages event will take place from 4:30pm-6:30pm in the Silver Griffin Room!

Live music with Robert Hubert & Company – December 26

Enjoy the perfect combination of your favorite electric and original music from the 60's, 70's and 80's live in the Wild Boar Tavern from 3:30 to 6:30pm.  

Live music with Satellite Shine – December 27

Based in the Berkshire mountains of Western Massachusetts, Satellite Shine is an Acoustic Duo that re-arranges and performs classic covers that once dominated the airwaves by artists such as Van Morrison, Tom Waits, Peter Frampton, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Tom Petty and David Bowie.  The duo also performs popular songs of today by artists such as The Lumineers, The Plain White T's, John Mayer, Kid Rock, Train and more.  Join us for live music in the Wild Boar Tavern from 3:30 to 6:30pm.

Brown's Brewing Tap Takeover with live music by The Mallett Brothers Band. An independent rock and roll / Americana / country band from Maine, they're a musical melting pot that is influenced equally by the singer/songwriter tradition as by harder rock, classic country and psychedelic sounds. Join them in the Wild Boar Tavern from 3:30 to 6:30pm. 

The Bart Center Annual Holiday Wine & Cheese

Join the Bart J. Ruggiere Adaptive Sports Center for the annual Holiday Wine & Cheese night, located in the Long Trail Base Camp from 4pm-6:30pm. Tickets are $20 for age 21+, and $10 for under 21. All proceeds from this event benefit the Bart J Ruggiere Adaptive Sports Center. Please purchase your tickets in advance at the desk located on the first floor of Bromley's Base Lodge. Gingerbread Cookie Decorating – December 29

Families are invited to decorate gingerbread cookies to wrap up the 2019 Bromley holiday season! The question is, can you catch your gingerbread cookie before he runs away? This fun for all ages event will take place in the Main Base Lodge (behind the fireplace) from 4pm – 5pm.

Live music with Sirsy – December 30

SIRSY is a rock, pop, and soul duo from Upstate NY. They write songs that are chock full of sing along melodies; honest songs with lots of heart and just the right amount of sass. It’s “edgy-feel-good”music. Join us for live music in the Wild Boar Tavern from 3:30 to 6:30pm.

Montshire Museum of Science: Wind Vehicles – January 2

Families are invited to design, build, and test a small wind-powered vehicle with the help of staff from the Montshire Museum of Science. Kids and parents will utilize their engineering and problem-solving skills to create a stable vehicle, while optimizing their design for speed and distance! Let’s have some fun and test out what we make! The question is, who will have the fastest wind powered Bromley vehicle? This event is for all ages, in the KidsRule room from 4:30pm-6:30pm.

Troy Wunderle's One Man Circus – January 4

Families are invited to attend a one-of-a-kind circus performance by local Troy Wunderle! This show features, but is not limited to: circus style ball, ring, and club juggling routines, intricate diablo manipulation, fast paced rhythmic ball bouncing, unicycle skits, plate spinning, teetering rolla bollas, clown antics, rolling globe stunts, ladder balancing, audience participation, magic and tricks for all. Are you ready to come and be amazed? You might even find yourself as part of the show!  This event is for all ages, in the KidsRule room from 4:30pm-5:30pm.

Live music with Lustre King – January 4

Beginning with 1995’s Mark Gamsjager Rocks & The Lustre Kings Roll, the Lustre Kings have staked a claim to a modern take on the reverb-driven sounds of early rock, leaning also on touchstones of country, blues and R&B. Join us for live music in the Wild Boar Tavern from 3:30 to 6:30pm.

Purchasing your lift tickets online 24 hours or more in advance will yield significant savings.  The walk up rate this winter $92 but if you buy ahead of time online tickets can be as cheap as $39

Okemo Mountain Resort

A Visit with Santa - December 23 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at the Jackson Gore Inn

Santa Claus makes his grand entrance at 4 p.m. for a pre-Christmas visit with children before the jolly old elf makes his way to the North Pole for final holiday preparations.

Okemo Torchlight Parade - December 27 at the Clock Tower Base Area

An amazing torchlight parade of skiers and riders traversing Okemo’s Open Slope trail precedes a spectacular pyrotechnics show in the Okemo Clock Tower base area. For a different perspective for Okemo’s fireworks display visitors can join a guided snowshoe hike up the mountain with local naturalist Joe Karl. Those who need snowshoes can meet inside the Okemo Rental Shop (Clock Tower Base) to be fitted for snowshoes.  The tour departs from Okemo’s Clock Tower Base Area beside South Ridge Quad A and heads up the Bull Run trail to watch the fireworks!

Shake ‘n’ Skate - December 28 at the Okemo Ice House

A fun evening of ice skating with a live DJ includes games and fun for the whole family in Okemo’s Ice House skating pavilion at Jackson Gore. Admission fee is charged. Skate rentals are available for a fee on a first-come, first-served basis.

Family New Year’s Eve Party - December 31 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm at the Jackson Gore Base Area

Midnight arrives early for friends and family enjoying a variety of activities. Following early evening ice skating, snow tubing, mountain coaster rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, party-hat decorating, bingo games and a trivia tournament, families can ring in the New Year early with a 9 p.m. fireworks show and still get the kids to bed in time for a full day on the slopes the next day. Okemo’s popular DJ Dance Party with balloons, noisemakers and party games and pizza dinner in the Roundhouse at Jackson Gore sells out every year.

While the North Pole is busy putting together the final touches for Christmas Eve, Santa will be making one final appearance at Killington Sports at Rt. 4 from 12:00pm noon – 6pm.

Paint & Sip at Killington Sports Rt. 4

Switch up your après routine this holiday season. Grab a group of friends and head down to Killington Sports on Saturday, December 28th from 3-4:30pm for a paint and sip outing with Maurie Harrington! The nights painting will be "The Skiers". Cost will be $35 per person which will include lite bites, all painting supplies and a souvenir Killington wine or pint glass. This is a 21+ and BYOB event. Kicking things off for our final Happy Hour of 2019 will be Krishna Guthrie Band from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. After 9:00pm, you will need to have a New Year’s Eve ticket to access the Night Club. Taking the stage in the evening is Evolution X. Doors open at 9:00pm. 21+ event.
