Speaker: Chuck Clerici, Efficiency Vermont Chuck Clerici, Efficiency Vermont His previous career experience includes HVAC, controls and IT. He studied economics and Asian studies at Union College, is an avid snowboarder and resides in Wilmington, Vermont. Speaker: Chauncy Johnson, Founder/Executive Director of Snowangel Foundation Chauncy Johnson, Snowangel Foundation After a life altering ski collision in 2010 involving his wife and daughter, Chauncy decided to dedicate his life to preventing accidents like this from happening again. He partnered with the National Ski Areas Association in 2016 to create the Ride Another Day safety campaign and has been promoting ski collision safety with his wife Kelli since then. The foundation serves as a partnership creating vehicle to amplify collision safety within the ski industry and the skiing public. For the past seven years, Chauncy has traveled the country speaking to ski area management and staff, students, and industry partners creating awareness in the area of ski collision safety and post-traumatic stress. Attendees of his speaking events report massive change in perspective and a heightened desire to keep themselves and others safe on the mountain. Chauncy’s goal is that everyone who skis or snowboards can Ride Another Day by keeping each other safe and enjoying the amazing benefits of downhill winter sports. Don served in the US Army, graduated from Champlain College, and holds several Honorary Doctorate Degrees. Previously, he created the FetchDog brand, e-commerce platform, and managed a large team of software developers and interactive designers. David Gibson of Propeller Media Works. His Accessibility Works consulting team provides guidance to leading fortune 500 companies such as Unilever, Arrow Electronics, and United Healthcare. AI is rapidly integrating into marketing, web development, content, and website accessibility as we transition into the AI Age.Energy Efficiency Opportunities at Vermont Ski Resorts
At Efficiency Vermont, Chuck has worked with Vermont manufacturers and ski resorts for 16 years to develop and invest in energy efficiency projects. He has strong knowledge of snowmaking, compressors, pumps, process cooling, process boilers, dust collection, motors, VFDs, HVAC equipment, lighting systems, metering technology and energy data analytics.
Collision Awareness and Avoidance
Chauncy Johnson founded Snow Angel Foundation, Inc. in 2023 and serves as the executive director. He earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Wyoming and has over 15 years of corporate experience in human resources management and business administration.
Community Building Through Collaboration
Don Stevens is Chief of the Nulhegan Band of the Coosuk - Abenaki Nation and President of AHA Abenaki Helping Abenaki. Chief Stevens is an accomplished leader, businessman, writer, and lecturer and has served on many boards and commission including the Vermont Commission on Native American Affairs and Attorney General Board of Racial Disparities. He help led the fight to obtain legal recognition, acquire land, and federal settlement agreements for the Abenaki People.
Marketing Applications for Artificial Intelligence
Jamie has been in the marketing, website, and technology/systems space for more than 20 years, including nearly a decade building industry-leading, data-driven ski resort websites while serving as the Interactive Marketing Director at American Skiing Company.
Dave started Propeller over 26 years ago and has worked with hundreds of brands, with a special focus on supporting the mountain resort industry. Growing winter sports and helping resorts achieve their goals is where his passion really lies. In addition to a long track record of award winning excellence in digital marketing and web development, he and his company specialize in digital accessibility.
