Magic Mountain

2021-22 Season Passes go on Sale April 15th at Early Bird rates!

There’s plenty of time to buy a season pass for next year…yet it feels like the industry is asking its customers to purchase earlier and earlier every year. Makes “cash flow” business sense for resorts, but putting your money for next year in our pockets while this year’s ski season is not close to being done, well, just seems a bit much. So Magic’s 2021-22 Early Bird season passes go on sale April 15thJune 15th. Hope you don’t mind keeping your money a little longer. Now just go out and enjoy the rest of the ski season without listening to us asking you to become pass holders again every week. There’s plenty of time for that in the off-season!

Your season pass purchase is a sign of your belief that there’s a real need in the Northeast for a unique, independent, throwback ski area experience like Magic. This season placed new stresses on us all in dealing with COVID-19, and small businesses like ours appreciated your support. More than ever, season passes will help us pay for our employees to maintain and improve the infrastructure this coming off-season. And, there are lots of projects! So thank you from all of us here at Magic.

The Indy Pass for 2021-22 will also be available for purchase at a 30% discount if you become a Magic Season Pass Holder when they go on sale in June at the Indy Pass website for two free days at each of over 75 indie ski areas next season.

A Magic pass also guarantees you a spot here at Magic any day next season that your pass-type allows. Since 2016, Magic has set a daily limit of tickets sold so as not to overcrowd the ski experience here. This policy will continue even as we finally add the long-awaited Black Line Quad summit lift to our uphill capacity. Much of the industry was forced to do this  past season due to Covid-19, but it’s a policy we’ve longed embraced to control lift lines and crowd size for our ski community. And, a season pass at Magic means no reservation required for your less-crowded ski experience!

While pass holders will not have to make a reservation here, we will also set limits on the number of season passes we sell as this also effects crowd-size at our ski area. We have seen tremendous growth in season pass holders here since SKI MAGIC purchased and made investments into the mountain (quadrupled the number of pass holders compared to prior ownership.) That’s great news, but it also means we now envision limiting how many passes we will make available. We will continue to offer affordable pass options despite the limits we will place on total pass holder numbers, but we must ensure enough space for our day ticket customers and Indy Pass Holder visitors as well. It’s about creating the right balance of ski area “carrying capacity”/space and maintaining affordability for different customers types, while assuring enough revenue in both the off-season and ski season for Magic to continue thriving as a local Londonderry business and community member.

In terms of the pandemic, we don’t anticipate that Vermont state travel restrictions will be in place any longer by this summer/fall or next season after everyone is vaccinated, but if there should be a government mandated restriction or shutdown, your purchase will be credited toward the next ski season. There are no refunds on pass purchases.

More and more skiers and riders are enjoying the “indie” experience, and Magic is leading the way. Be a vital part of our growing community with a season pass purchase as of April 15th with “early bird” rates that can save you up to $100 per pass over our summer sales rate which begins June 16th through October 15th.
