Everyone is welcome at Strafford Nordic Center!
This year wil be our 5th ski season, and every year is getting better. In the off-season, we've been adjusting some of our 30KM of trails and intersections for a more enjoyable ski experience, increased the size of our rental fleet, and upgraded some of our grooming equipment. New for this year: an obstacle course for kids (and adults who act like kids!), regular group beginner ski lesson times, and dedicated classic tracked trails.
We truly do have something for everyone. An easy beginner loop, close to the lodge; rolling hills and scenic woods trails; and if you want to climb the highest peak in Strafford you'll be rewarded with majestic views of Vermont and New Hampshire - follwed by the choice of descent: Kibling Hill trail which is a more gradual, long descent to the bottom, or the quick, steeper Zig Zag trail (which has been reported to be loads of fun!).
Our ski lodge is cozy as ever, and includes our full service rental room, and a growing wall of retail items, like gloves, hats, socks and neck tubes. Our rental fleet is all Salomon, with both classic and skate equipment available, as well as a pulk if you have young kids who need a ride now and then. And of course, you can always buy your Strafford Organic Creamery chocolate milk right in the lodge, which is made and bottled here on the farm.
Ski Lessons are available any day by appointment with an experienced instructor, or you can register for one of our standing group lessons on the weekends. Lessons can be private, or for anywhere from 2-6 people.
We are located just 10 minutes off exit #2 on I-89 in Vermont. Stop in for the genuine, local Vermont atmosphere on your way to one of the big resorts, or visit us for the day and ski next to the cows who provide the chocolate milk in our lodge. You wouldn't know you were so close to the highway once you arrive, with nothing but farms and mountains surrounding you.
We look forward to meeting you this winter!
