January is a busy month for Vermont’s resorts, starting with New Year celebrations to Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, to the month long National Safety Awareness Month initiative and much, much more. 

Events

January 7- February 4, 2017 - Essential Elements Breakthrough at Sugarbush Resort
Tailored to those who ski and ride on green and blue trails, this program will elevate participants skiing and riding to the next level. Coached by some of the finest instructors, "Breakthrough" meets four consecutive Saturdays, starting January 7th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

January 7- March 25, 2017 - Base Camp at Mt. Ellen at Sugarbush Resort
Start Saturday night adventures at Mt. Ellen Base Camp. Bring friends and family out for fresh stone cooked pizza, warm drinks, friendly cornhole, and a warming bonfire all while hiking or skinning up Mt. Ellen for some late-night turns.

January 7, 2017 - Gathering of the Groms at Sugarbush Resort
An intro terrain park session for ages 13 and under. The terrain park crew will be hanging out with Groms to teach smart style, play games, earn prizes and have fun in the park! 

January 8, 2017 - Never Summer Demo at Bolton Valley

January 14, 2017 – Mini Shred Madness at Killington Resort
Grom skiers and riders, 13 years and under, get a feel for park riding’s experience and rules with an open jam contest centered around having fun and the NSAA’s Know the Code efforts during National Safety Month. To learn more about Mini Shred Madness click here.

January 14-15, 2017 – Youth Race Camps with Chelsea Marshall at Killington Resort
This is a unique opportunity that empowers kids by creating a positive, healthy environment on the mountain with instruction provided by high energy and knowledgeable race staff led by Chelsea Marshall, a Killington lifer and member of the US Ski Team for 10 years. January 15, 2017 - Paint Night with Local Artist Natasha Bogar at Bolton Valley
Natasha Bogar will be guiding artists through the creative process of painting. Bolton Valley's Paint Night is BYOB. This class is perfect for all ability levels, it is about enjoying the creative process in a stress-free environment. It is a great way to spend time with family and friends. January 16, 2017 - Tell A Friend Tour at Bolton Valley
Line and New Schoolers have teamed up with Andy Parry to bring you the Tell A Friend Tour. This is a freeskiing park tour that travels to resorts to film, ski with fans, and hold a free raffle and pizza party. Andy Parry and the Tell A Friend crew will drop into Bolton Valley on Monday, January 16. Come ski with them! The event is free to anyone with a lift ticket or season pass.

January 18, 2017 - Night Rider Series at Bolton Valley

Join us for the first event of the Night Rider Series Wednesday, January 18 at 4:30pm. Starting off with a rail jam in Hide Away Park to get everyone warmed up for park riding this season. The rail jam will start off with a 20 minute warm up session at 6pm, which will lead into an hour long jam session. Come ride with your friends and win some prizes.

January 18, 2017 - Green Mountain Ski Mo Citizen Race Series at Bolton Valley
The Wednesday Night Citizen Skimo Race Series will take place at Bolton Valley Resort for some casual competition. The Series is a citizen race series organized by the Catamount Trail Association. There are two main courses to alternate between, and one longer course. Come to the Uphill Series at Bolton Valley after work and get a great workout in and some killer views.

January 21-22, 2017 - Mid Season Telemark Ramp Up at Bromley Mountain
Bromley's top PSIA/NATO Trained Telemark instructors provide an individualized coaching environment that fosters a fun and challenging day of skiing and learning. Join the Sun Mountain for a single day or the entire weekend. Visit the Events Calendar for more info.

January 28-29, 2017 - Wounded Military Heroes Weekend at Bromley Mountain
The Bart Center for Adaptive Sports hosts the eleventh annual Wounded Military Heroes weekend at Bromley Mountain, dedicated to our service veterans who have been wounded in action. It gives them an opportunity to experience the sport of skiing or snowboarding with some of the best instructors in the business. Learn more, or how you can participate at www.bartadaptive.org.

January 29, 2017 - Ski for Heat at Bromley Mountain
Support Ski for Heat to help our Southern Vermont neighbors in need of winter heating assistance, and have fun doing it! Register in advance for a $40 lift ticket (50% of proceeds go to Ski for Heat) or take the “Bring on the Heat” spicy chicken challenge in the Wild Boar Tavern. Bolton Valley
Bolton Valley first opened for skiing and riding in December of 1966, making this year their 50th Anniversary. In honor of that date lift tickets will be just $19.66 every non-holiday Monday for the season. Don't want to bother with the 34 cents in change? Then donate it to charity. Bolton will be partnering with select charities over the course of the season and every ticket purchased will have the option of paying $20 and donating the change to the charity of the day. (Offer not valid on December, 26, January, 16 and February, 20.)

Bromley Mountain Resort
The Sun Mountain Card saves up to $30 off every full day lift ticket for the 2016/17 season, $15 off Group Lessons or Rental Equipment packages (or $25 off our Group lift/lesson/rental package), plus get a free non-holiday Lift Ticket with card purchase. Discounts good on all-day lift tickets only, non-transferable. Cards are $79 all ages. Save $315 off six kids lessons at Bromley Mountain in their Kidsrule Mountain Camp. Mountain Top Inn and Resort

Mount Snow Resort
