A native New Englander, Bonnie made her first turns on skis in Vermont a hundred years ago. Prior to moving to the Green Mountain State to spread the word about Okemo, she represented several New Hampshire resorts. Over time, she has come to accept the fact that the fall foliage is brighter, the maple syrup is sweeter and the snow falls deeper on the western side of the Connecticut River. Bonnie is the 2008 recipient of the ESWA Bob Gillen Memorial Award for excellence in media relations

Barbara Thomke has trained Smugglers' Notch Resort's Mogul Mouse and Billy Bob Bear to perform tricks for guests over her 17 year reign as friend to 'animal' mascots and chief of public relations. She received the Bob Gillen Memorial Award for Excellence in Media Relations in 2004 from the North American Snowsports Journalists Association. Barbara is an outdoor enthusiast who is passionate about recreating in Vermont.
